Advanced Markets Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Australian Financial Services with License Reference Number 444649. Advanced Markets offers three kinds of ECN accounts: Advanced Plus, Advanced Prime, and Advanced Infinite. 

ECN, which stands for Electronic Communication Network, provides traders with direct access to other market participants via interbank trading prices. The system effectively publishes orders entered by market makers to third parties and individual traders.

The difference between a Demo and Live accounts is that Demo accounts are training accounts which traders can use to practice trading without using real money, so no risk is involved. On the other side, Live accounts use real funds, so traders can open these and trade to try and make profits. 

You may open as many Demo accounts as you want to practice your trading skills and test new strategies. Keep in mind Demo accounts are valid for 180 days. 

You may open up to three live trading accounts with Advanced Markets. 

Yes. Advanced Markets offers the option for Swap Free accounts. These are swap-free accounts which do not generate the rollover interest or commission that brokers charge when traders keep their position open overnight. This means you will neither receive nor pay a swap fee

Yes, the minimum deposit to open an account with Advanced Markets is $100. For the Advanced Prime account is $5000 and the Advanced Infinite is $20,000. 

Yes, you can, if you are the owner of both accounts and they are registered with the same email. 

No, you will have to open an additional account. 

It is not permitted for anyone else to trade on your trading account. The exception to this is when you register for copy trading or multi-account manager (MAM) programs.  

If your account has zero balance and remains inactive for 3 months, it will automatically be archived. 

No, Advanced Markets (Bermuda) Ltd does not charge any dormant fees. 

No, but you can send an email to us or contact us through live chat to deactivate your account. You cannot delete a trading account, but you can request to have it archived. 

We automatically archive inactive trading accounts which have no balance after a certain time. If this has happened to you, you can simply open another or contact costumer service to retrieve an older account. 

Onboarding & Verification

The process is simple. Click on this link, fill in the information in the relevant fields and click Continue. 

We will send a confirmation PIN to the email address you specify – you need to enter it on the next step. After email verification, you will have to provide us with Proof of Identity, taking a picture of your passport, ID card, residence permit, or Driving license and select the country of the issued document. Then you must verify your phone number by typing it in and adding the OTP sent to you by SMS. 

Finally, if all the above are done successfully, we will send you a welcome email with the credentials for your MT5 trading account which is automatically opened for you – and you are ready to start trading! 

A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is required to confirm any request to open an account or change password. Your PIN will be sent via email, and you will need to enter it to proceed. 

If you made a mistake with your email address during registration you will not be able to receive automated emails. Double check your information and repeat the registration process. 

If you see this message, it means that your email was previously registered with Advanced Markets. Please use another email or if you believe you already signed up with us before, contact our support team [email protected] to gain access to your account again. 

Verify your profile by uploading clear colour copies (jpeg and png format) of the following documents: 

  • Proof of Identity such as passport, national identity card or driving license. We accept JPG and PNG file format.  
  • Proof of Address showing your name and address, issued not earlier than 3 months ago. We accept JPG, PNG, PDF, or GIF file format not exceeding 20MB. Examples include a residence certificate, bank/card statement or utility bill like water, gas, electricity, Internet, or telephone bill. 

If you have been verified and your trading account is live, you can request to open an additional account without uploading new documents. 

Verification of your trading account is required to comply with financial services regulations and to provide you with the best possible service. Your information is always kept confidential and is only used for compliance purposes. 

Tax authorities require financial institutions such as Advanced Markets to collect and report certain information relating to their clients’ tax statuses. Please contact our support team for more information on how to identify your tax residency and tax identification number (TIN). 

Once you upload all your documents, during working hours, it can take from 10 minutes up to 48 hours to verify your profile. 

If you wish to update your email address or mobile number, you can do so from the Client Portal under Settings, clicking the Profile tab.  

If you wish to update your residential address, please send an email to Advanced Markets support from your registered email address and upload a Proof of Address document not older than 3 months, confirming the new address. 


Phone verification is a mandatory step to add protection to your account. After entering a valid mobile phone number in the online form, you will receive an SMS with a code. When you receive the code on your phone, you will need to type it into the box in the form. 

Email verification is a mandatory step to add protection to your account. After entering a valid Email address in the online form, you will receive an email with a PIN code. When you receive the code in your email inbox, you will need to type it into the box in the form. 

Advanced Markets accepts traders aged 18 years old or above. 

Your application may have been rejected for various reasons, for example, if we were unable to verify your profile, if your country is subject to sanctions, or if any other factors apply that may indicate unacceptable risk to Advanced Markets. For any questions, please contact us. 

Client Portal

Advanced Markets offers a variety of languages. To change the language in your Client Portal, click on the small twoletter icon at the top right side of the page next to your profile icon. Then scroll down to select your language.

Wallets are created automatically when you open an account with Advanced Markets and are used to make your deposits and withdrawals. From there you can transfer funds to the trading accounts to start trading with them. 

The wallet is essentially a central location of your funds, while your trading account balance is the balance with which you can trade via a specific account. 

If you have deposited money in your wallet, you can transfer it to your trading account simply by going into the funds section of your Client Portal. Just select Payments, then click Transfer, fill in the fields From and To, then specify the transfer amount and click Continue.

Your transactions are visible in the Client Portal. Just visit the Payments section and click on Transactions history 

Every client has the option to decide what kind of emails they receive from us. In the Client Portal under Settings, click the Profile tab and scroll down to Notifications Preferences. By clinking the edit icon on the right side, you can choose what emails you want to receive. Select or unselect the boxes and click Submit.  

Moreover, when changing your email address, you might have entered an invalid address – check and amend if needed so you can receive our emails. 

Lastly, perhaps our emails are ending up in your spam folder. Please check the folder and mark Advanced Markets emails as not spam so you can get our emails straight in your inbox.  

To stop receiving emails from Advanced Markets, you can click on the option Unsubscribe which is found under each email we send. Alternatively, you can set your email preferences by clicking here. 

MT5 Platform

Our clients can trade using MT5, a world-class platform that allows for multi-asset trading from anywhere at any time. 

MT5 is a new and improved version of MT4 with additional features and tools for comprehensive price analysis, use of algorithmic trading applications (trading robots, Expert Advisor) and copy trading. 
Due to it being a fullyfledged 64-bit multi-threaded platform, MT5 is faster than MT4, while it has extra capacity for Pending Order Types, Technical Indicators, Graphical Objects, timeframes and more. Moreover, it supports the trading of a wider range of instruments which includes Forex, Futures, Options, Stocks, and Bonds.

After your account application has been approved, we will send your credentials to your registered email address along with a link to download the MT5 platform. You will need to click on this link to start the installation process. 

Alternatively, you can log into the Client Portal, and you will see all the download links displayed on your Dashboard page, under the Downloads section. From there you can directly install the desktop platforms or mobile apps by simply clicking on the respective icon. The download for the platform will start automatically and then you just need to run the file to start the installation process 

For the Android and iOS apps, you will be directed to the respective pages on Google Play and App Store where you need to initiate the installation process. Follow the prompts to do so. 

After the installation is complete, you can log in to MT5 with the account details you received in the above-mentioned email you received after registering with us. 

First open the platform and select the login option under the File tab. Then, enter your account number and password. Finally, select the appropriate server and click OK to login. 

You can find your trading account number and password in the welcome email you received after opening your account with us. 

You can also find your credentials in your Client Portal. Simply login, go to Accounts, pick an account and then click View. Your logins are the fields labeled Trading Platform Login (the account number) and Trading Platform Password. 

To change your passwords, you can go to the Client Portal: in Accounts, choose the account you want to change the password for, click View, scroll down to Trading Platform Password and then hit Change. 

You can also change your trading passwords via the Advanced Markets MT5 platform: in the Navigator panel, click on Accounts, right-click on the account you want and then select Change Password. 

Platform logs are shown on the Journal tab of the Toolbox window, which you can open under View. It records actions of the trader and platform for the current session like execution of all trade operations. In the Toolbox window you can also find your mailbox, news, alerts and more. 

When you see this in your Journal it means that your user ID or your password are incorrect 

Open the MT5 platform and under View, select Symbols. In the Ticks tab, select the currency pair and timeframe and then click Request. When the history loads you can view it or download it pressing Export ticks. 
If the currency pairs you want don’t appear, go to the Specification tab and double click on one of the currency categories under Forex, Exotic, Major, Minor. 

Log in to your trading platform and if the toolbox is not enabled, press Ctrl+T. In the Terminal window that appears select History and rightclick anywhere in the new window to view or customize the history’s timeframe. You can extract it using the Report option. 

Login to the platform and go to the Tools section. Click Options then Server. Select the Enable News box and click OK. 

When you open the MT5, you need to select Toolbars in View and then enable Timeframes for the bar the bar to show. Then for each chart you have open you can conveniently choose any timeframe you need. 

It means that the selected Lot size and Stop Loss/Take Profit are incorrect. 

This is because you don’t have enough free margin to trade with. 

This is to allow you to enter the size of the position you want. Volume is measured in lots. 

From the Trade tab, press and hold the order. Then, select the action you want to take from the pop-up box that appears. 

Select the plus (+) symbol at the top of your application, select the category and trading instruments you want to view.

You can start trading in just a few minutes. All you need to do is complete your account registration and verification, fund your account and you will be able to start trading right away. 

Yes, the Advanced Markets MT5 trading platform can be downloaded directly from the Client portal in just a few minutes. Follow these simple instructions to get started: 
After locating the Downloads widget and clicking on the respective download button, a MetaTrader 5 setup window will appear. Read the license agreement and then click Next to begin the installation. 
A new window will appear. You can select the default installation folder or specify a different one. There are also options to create a desktop shortcut and to launch the program after installation. Click Next to continue. 
A new window will appear showing the installation progress. When all the tasks have been completed, click Next to continue. 
Following successful installation, MT5 will launch.  
Once the download is completed, the data will automatically begin to update, and the price charts will be activated. 

If your position remains open, it will be rolled over at a swap charge to the next trading day. 

No, you cannot lose more than the amount you deposited. Should the slippage of a certain currency pair cause a negative balance, it will be reset automatically with your next deposit. 

Copy trading is a form of investment that falls under social trading, and it’s where one trader can copy positions of another trader either automatically or manually. 

Platforms, in their majority, make it very simple to filter through the trading performance of experienced traders, and find one that best fits your trading style and risk tolerance. It’s up to every trader to decide how they approach copy trading. 

Advanced Markets offers a copy trading program which you can make use of as long as you have registered as a client. If you haven’t already, simply visit this link to sign up. After your registration is approved and you have opened a live trading account, you can join our copy trading program and start copying strategies from other traders directly in your trading account. Moreover, you can become a strategy provider and share your strategies with other traders, earning a fee for doing so.  

Deposits & Withdrawals

Advanced Markets offers a variety of methods with which you can fund your account such as debit/credit card (Visa or MasterCard), cryptocurrency transfers, Perfect Money or bank wire transfer, advocating transparency and fair-trading practices in all its account funding and withdrawal processes. No, we do not charge any fees for our deposit/withdrawal options. On the contrary, for some methods, like credit/debit cards, we cover all transaction fees. For deposits/withdrawals via international bank wire transfer, Advanced Markets covers all transfer fees imposed by our banks, except for deposits amounting to less than 200USD (or equivalent). 

However, there might be intermediary bank charges or incoming fund charges by the client’s bank that we do not cover since they occur after the payment has been processed by our bank. These charges are not fixed, and they vary from bank to bank. 

Transactions in USD are processed without conversion, while transactions in any other currency will be converted as per the exchange rate of the bank. 

Advanced Markets does not accept any third-party transfers when depositing or making withdrawals from your account. All third-party payments will be rejected and will not be processed. 

Moreover, your trading account can be funded only from your personal bank account or debit/credit card, and the bank account holder’s name should match those of your Advanced Markets account. 

It is possible to fund your account with multiple bank cards, meaning there is no limit to how many different bank cards you can use. 

However, do keep in mind that bank card deposits and withdrawal amounts must be matching – meaning you cannot withdraw more than the amount you deposited. This applies for each card separately. If there are profits that need to be withdrawn and exceed the original deposit amount, they must be withdrawn via bank wire transfer or crypto. 

Depositing is quick and easy and there are various payment methods at your disposal. You may choose whichever method you prefer and follow the instructions below: 

  • Login to the Client Portal 
  • Click on Deposit Funds 
  • Select the payment method you wish to use 
  • Fill in the fields required (including the amount and preferred currency) 
  • Finish by clicking Deposit 

No, Advanced Markets does not specify a maximum deposit amount. 

If you choose to deposit via bank wire, go to the Deposit tab under Payments and select the Bank Wire Transfer method. You will see the Beneficiary information you should use when making the deposit via your mobile banking or at the local bank branch. Once you complete the deposit you need to send us a proof of payment and wait for the funds to appear in your wallet. 

If you deposit using card or crypto or e-wallet with an amount lower than $2,000 it will be immediately reflected in your wallet. Anything above this amount will be shown within 30 minutes to one hour, following compliance checks. If you transfer by bank wire, the amount will be reflected in your wallet whenever we receive the amount in our bank account – it normally takes 3-5 business days.  

There are several reasons why your payment may have failed. Maybe 

  • your information has been incorrectly entered into the system. 
  • your card has expired. 
  • there are no funds in your card. 
  • your card has been flagged on a security check as being lost or stolen. 
  • the card you are using is not activated or does not allow online payments. In this case you should check with your bank. 
  • we do not accept your card type, so please try another method.

Advanced Markets does not specify any minimum amount, it depends on the payment method provider. 

You have the option to cancel your withdrawal after making the request, only if it has not yet been processed from our side, and the amount will be returned to your account within 48 hours. 

All withdrawals may take up to 24 hours to be processed, provided we have received all the necessary documentation to process the withdrawal. However, please note that for bank wire and credit card transfers it may take 3-5 business days before the funds appear in your account. Perfect Money funds are received instantly after being processed. 

Also, bear in mind that payments are usually processed using the original payment method. Therefore, if you requested a withdrawal with a different payment provider and it does not appear in your account, check the statement of your original payment method. Note that the time to receive your payment varies depending on the payment provider. 

Margin Call

When the margin level drops below 100%, traders lose ability to increase exposure. which is known as a Margin Call Level. You can still reduce your exposure by closing some or all your positions. If the margin level keeps declining to or below your stop out level, an automatic process in MT5 will be initiated causing the positions to be liquidated. This entails the closure of positions, prioritizing those with the greatest loss to profit ratio. The process continues until the remaining exposure attains a level adequate to accommodate any active positions. 

Margin Level refers to the ratio of your account’s equity to the used margin, expressed as a percentage. It gives you an indication of how much usable margin you have left to support your open positions. 

Stop out Level is a predefined margin level set by your broker. When your Margin Level falls to or below this Stop out Level, it triggers an automatic process where the broker begins closing your open positions to prevent your account from falling into negative balance territory. This is done to protect both the trader and the broker from potential losses. 

In margin trading, margin level indicates the difference between accessible equity and tied-up funds (used margin). Keeping it above the Margin Call Level of 100% is crucial. Traders need to maintain the margin level above 100% so new positions can be opened while maintaining existing ones. However, if there are losses, the account balance and the available equity will decline resulting in reduced margin level. 

Traders can increase their positions by using leverage on their trades. A forex broker requires a percentage of the position (used margin) to keep that position open – therefore the margin level is an essential means that allows traders to monitor their trading funds and ensure that their account balances do not run out. If open positions are incurring losses and the margin level goes below the Stop Out level, the broker will begin automatically closing positions until the margin level rises above that point. This is known as a Stop Out, and the level where the process begins is the Stop Out level. 

If your account reaches the Stop Out Level, the trading platform will start closing your positions. This process continues until your account’s equity rises above the stop out level or until all positions are closed. It’s important to monitor your account and manage your trades to avoid reaching this level.  

To prevent reaching the stop out level, you can:  

  • Keep a close watch on your account’s margin level and equity,  
  • Use risk management tools like setting appropriate stop-loss orders,  
  • Avoid overleveraging by not opening positions that could deplete your margin too quickly. 

The Stop Out Level for all account types is set at 50% of the margin level. 

For example, your starting deposit is 10,000 USD and your account is set at 50% Stop Out level and a leverage of 1:100. If you place a 2 lots (200K) trade on USDJPY, your Used Margin will be 2000 USD.  


Once your Equity falls to or below 1000 USD (which is 50% of your Used Margin), meaning your Margin Level has breached 50%, your trade will automatically be closed. In case there are multiple trades, the system will start by closing out the largest losing position to bring you back above the Stop Out level. This process is repeated every time the Margin Level breaches the 50% Stop Out level. 

Traders often use hedge (opposing) positions to alleviate losses from a losing trade. There is no margin requirement for hedge positions, which means you can open an opposing trade on the same pair without this affecting your used margin.  

Nevertheless, it’s advisable to avoid hedging when your equity is at a low level, as a widening spread might lead to a margin level of 50%. This is because the profit or loss on Buy positions depends on the Bid price, while Sell positions are affected by the Ask price. Consequently, an expansion in the bid/ask spread could amplify unrealized losses or diminish unrealized gains, despite having hedged positions.  

Furthermore, if you are already near the stop out level, fluctuations in the exchange rate between the trading pair or currency of the asset and your base currency can influence your unrealized profit and loss, potentially leading to a Stop Out. Spread widening is a common occurrence in times such as market open/close, in periods of high volatility as well as during big economic/political news that impact the markets. 

If you don’t have access to a forex margin calculator, here’s the formula for calculating the margin requirement:  

Required Margin = (Trade Size x Contract Size x Open Price)/Leverage.   


Example: If you buy 1 Lot of EUR/USD at USD1,1800 with a leverage of 1:100, the Required Margin will be: (1 x USD100,00 x USD1,1800) / 100 = USD1,180 


Fees & Charges

Like most brokers, we apply financing charges to keep the trading positions open, such as daily or overnight charges; swaps are charged on swap enabled accounts as rollover charges to hold a position overnight. 

No commission or fees are applicable when opening or closing an account. Advanced Plus and Advanced Prime accounts are spreadbased so they don’t involve commissions. However, Advanced Infinite accounts are commission based. See more details here. 

We gather liquidity from the primary and secondary leading banks to formulate the optimal offer, followed by the application of a fixed markup to determine the final price.

Safety & Privacy

Firstly, we are proud to be providing unprecedented liquidity using major global banks. Our clients’ funds are held into bank accounts separate from the accounts used by the company for its operational needs. Therefore, they cannot be used to pay back creditors in the unlikely event of a default. 

Moreover, we offer negative balance protection meaning that no client is accountable for paying a negative balance that might occur due to extremely volatile market conditions. 

Advanced Markets is required to work within strict accounting and risk management frameworks. All capital not being used for margin purposes is fully segregated into a special client account which is kept separate from Advanced Markets company funds. 

Advanced Markets (Bermuda) Ltd does not accept clients who are residents of Bermuda, Australia, US Virgin Islands, Belgium, Canada, Isle of Man, United States, United Kingdom, Belarus, Uganda, Cayman Islands, Senegal, Barbados, Jamaica, Guinea Bissau, Albania, Philippines, Venezuela, Mali, Pakistan, Libya, Zimbabwe, Panama, Somalia, Nicaragua, Myanmar, South Sudan, Haiti, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, North Korea, Iran. Restrictions also apply to clients who are residents of the European Union – this list changes however, depending on local laws and regulations, FATF recommendations and/or sanctions lists, and the company’s AML-CFT policies and procedures.

Advanced Markets offers an IB programme that allows you to receive revenue based on the trading activity of clients you refer. To put this simply, Advanced Markets offers IBs rebates on spreads for every lot their clients are trading. 

IB is an abbreviation for Introducing Broker. This can be an individual or a company that introduces new traders to Advanced Markets.

No, there are no setup or joining fees when applying for Advanced Markets partnership program.  

The amount you earn purely depends on the trading volume within your portfolio. The two main factors that affect this volume is how many clients you sign up and how much they trade. Another thing to consider is that your IB commission percentage increases proportionally to the trading volume. In plain words, the more volume generated in your portfolio, the higher the rebates percentage.

Your personal IB Dashboard will be the main port of call for you to manage your portfolio. Once logged in, you will be able to benefit from a wide range of reporting options to monitor your progress and the rebates you are generating.  

Simply log in here with the same credentials you received when first registering your Advanced Markets account and click on Partners.  


This area is a very useful tool as it has information about Direct Referrals, Accounts Commission, Clients Commission, Detailed Commission Breakdown and Marketing Tools. For there you can check your wallet, withdraw rebates, see your commissions and which clients are more active and bring profits to you.  

Yes, however all your clients must register via a unique link we provide to you so we can track them. In case one of your clients does not use that link to register, please contact your Account Manager or contact us by chat for assistance as soon as possible.  

You can review a list of your direct referrals in the Partners section of the Client Portal. 

Every link provided to each IB is unique to them and is used to track the clients they refer. Whenever a new client signs up under a specific IB, it must be done via this dedicated link so that Advanced Markets can track and allocate any commissions generated.  

Under Partners, click on the tab called Marketing Tools. In this section, you’ll be able to edit or copy your partner link. You can also create a new link to a landing page for any marketing campaign. 

Advanced Markets supports you with different marketing tools that you can access from your IB Dashboard. Benefit from banners in various sizes and unique IB links to share with clients you introduce. If you prefer other tools or features, inform your Account Manager, and we will try our best to meet your requirements.
